The Greatest Idea Since Popcorn

When we home school with our grandchildren, the Friday afternoon treat before we leave is Kara's popcorn, made just the way she and dad made it when she was a little girl. But she adds grated Parmesan cheese on top! What made me think of this is the Promise Room.

The gentle takeover of daughter Kate's bedroom has saved and protected nearly a dozen Bundles this year. Our fabulous layaway plan has been a marketing phenomenon. It works this way. You see or want a doll (or your child or grandchild does) but you don't have the cash at the moment or you just want it to be in a safe place until it is needed to be loved. Tami has two dolls waiting for Christmas pickup. Susannah's Destry has been saved for six months and she's even be paid for! Maggie just shipped to Idaho for Christmas.

I mention this notion as the calendar year closes and I only have six more custom portrait dolls to go. If you knew that the prices were going up in the new year and you had your heart set onMimi, Deborah, Millicent, Freda or some other of our heirloom treasures, know you can stash her up in the Promise Room with a $20 deposit at June, 2009 prices! For example, Saint Nicholas will be $250 next year, not $195! I have just made two and there is more in this guy than meets the eye.

Further, as the Special Event page says, the holiday sale continues until December 31, 2010. Any doll made in 2007 is $20 off; 2008, $15 off; 2009, $10 off, and 2010, and $5 off. Now if you hold an Appreciation Certificate, you have an additional 10 percent off.

Too complicated? Call us with the name of the doll you want, and we'll tell you what the savings and and happily place your Bundle in the Promise Room.
