Tess Doll

My friend Stephanie asked me to make her a Tess Teapot based on a 25-year old photograph of the original. Few of the pattern pieces and face template were to be found in the attic, so I started over. Steph loved Blueberry Sal's fabrics and her hair happens to be the color of Tess. These are deliberate "accidents." It holds true that my friend loves a great cup of tea. Both of us conjur up memories of tea parties with a favorite aunt or special playmates. This Tess joins the collector's array of ready-made friends for tea at her house. Tess is the ultimate hostess.
