Cecelia Doll

I know exactly where the saguaro begin to appear on I17 between Phoenix and Flagstaff. The festival marking the collection of the nectar is a favorite piece of art. That flower graces the cheeks and layered skirt of this doll who was nameless until I heard it spoken in a gallery in Flagstaff. She became Cecelia. Her body is a cactus print and her petticoat is a matching colorful cotton chili pepper calico. She has a straw hat to cover her soft black braids when out in the sun.
