Birthing Angela was a labor of love. I created her face first in a home schooling portrait exercise. I lost sleep solving construction issues -- running out of the 2.5 yards of lace before the last layer, the slippery velvet vest and its lining, and the right hairstyle for the Peruvian wool. Then this delicate creature came together like a Mariachi band that played together every Friday night. Especially lovely is the main fabric of her layered dress with "pockets" of jungle animals listening to the music.
